Introducing MindPage

As a long-time coder/engineer/founder in a fast-moving technical field (AI), I've often felt a need for better tools for developing ideas, that could complement and unify the tools we already have for code & math. I tried many note-taking and mind-mapping apps over the years, but none of them were capable enough to fully capture my ideas (with code, math, data, charts, etc) or to deeply explore new directions (e.g. with working prototypes), and none of them felt open or trustworthy enough to serve as a long-term repository for my most promising explorations.

#intro/1 So I decided to build https://mind.page, an infinite plain-text notebook as powerful as a modern web browser (swipe through examples below), with everything integrated in a unified timeline and instantly searchable, linkable, and accessible from any device. It is open-source and fully encrypted using a personal secret for ultimate privacy no matter where the data is stored. I host it on Google Cloud but anyone can host for themselves or others. It is trivial to export regularly and can even be live-synced to GitHub for full versioning (with diffs etc) and ability to edit anywhere using your favorite editors.
